Founded by Ashley: Where Clinical Expertise Meets Personal Connection

The journey to creating A. Honey Aesthetics has been anything but ordinary. It is a story shaped by global experiences, a passion for education, and a deep appreciation for the science and the soul of skincare.

Before stepping into the world of aesthetics, Ashley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Event Management at the University of Canberra in Australia. It was during her time there that a classmate casually mentioned that her mother was an esthetician. What seemed like a simple conversation sparked an unexpected curiosity and planted the seed for what would eventually become a lifelong passion.

Living in San Diego completely changed the way Ashley viewed skincare.

While attending esthetics school at Bellus Academy, Ashley was surfing twice a day, every day. She was constantly putting her own skin through the elements. Sun, salt water, wind, dehydration, frequent cleansing, and an active outdoor lifestyle became part of her everyday life.

Experiencing these things firsthand gave Ashley a completely different perspective on what skin needs to stay healthy. It became less about simply treating the skin and more about understanding it, protecting it, and maintaining its integrity.

From there, Ashley began tailoring her approach around skin barrier health and repair, with a particular focus on the unique needs of surfer skin. Living so closely connected to the ocean has given her a personal understanding of the challenges that come with spending so much time in the sun and salt water, and how important it is to support the skin rather than constantly push it.

Today, Ashley is based in La Jolla, where the beach and surf are just a skip and a hop away. Her love for skincare, treatments, education, and the natural environment all come together in the way she approaches each client.

Her philosophy combines a scientific understanding of the skin with a holistic approach to care. Every treatment is intentional and tailored to the individual, with an emphasis on supporting the skin barrier, maintaining healthy skin, and creating a routine that works with your lifestyle.
